We have more than 100 years of application experience and manufacturing customer-oriented solutions using leading technology. The result is the development and supply of integrated solutions and individual products for use in wastewater collection networks and wastewater treatment.
We began serving the North American marketplace in 1970, and offer a complete product portfolio of pumps, mixers, agitators, aerators, compressors, control & monitoring equipment, and service – with the applications engineering support to help you select the right equipment for the job. Sulzer ABS also offers pumps for the dewatering market, as well as solutions for pulp & paper applications under the brand name Scanpump.
Our North American Corporate Headquarters in located in Meriden, Connecticut, with our Canadian Sales Office located in Mississauga, Ontario.
Our 72,000 square feet Meriden facility houses the latest in state of the art equipment and technology, including a-complete wet and dry pit test facility capable of handling up to 400 horsepower; 24″ discharge pumps with flows up to 25,000 GPM, control panel design and manufacturing, and a complete machine shop and service center. Reliable pumps for wastewater removal
The AS range are robust, reliable submersible pumps from 1 to 3 kW for pumping wastewater and sewage from buildings and sites. The pumps have water pressure-tight, encapsulated, fully flood-proof motors in standard and explosion-proof versions.
Submersible sewage pump type ABS AFP
The submersible sewage pump type ABS AFP range offers reliable and economical pumping of heavily polluted sewage in commercial, industrial and municipal applications. The AFP range provides excellent rag handling, and power up to 600 kW (805 hp).
Submersible propeller pump type ABS VUPX
The VUPX series of submersible propeller pumps are ideal for applications where large volumes of storm or process water have to be pumped to heads up to a maximum of 10 m. These compact pumps feature highly efficient three- or four-blade propellers with low NPSH characteristic and a space-saving design. They ensure high reliability and efficiency.
Submersible grinder pump type ABS Piranha
Piranha sewage pumps with shredding action provide reliable and economical discharge of effluent under pressure. Used in high pressure sewage systems, they offer an economical alternative where the terrain doesn’t permit the use of gravity sewers.

Clog-free flow in sewage and raw water
Designed for pumping raw water, wastewater, and sewage from buildings and sites in both domestic and commercial areas. Free solids passage up to 65 mm. The pump and motor section form a pressure-tight encapsulated unit which is fully flood-proof.
